The beach is wonderful, convenient, safe and definitely the big attraction, as confirmed by the Good Beach Guide: "Middleton beach is a gold standard, MCS approved beach for bathing."
Being a private beach it is always quiet. It’s mostly sand, and at low tide there are rock pools to explore. Along the high tide line is shingle with occasional shells and chalks to collect. Above is a large greensward for ball games etc when the tide forces a retreat. The attractive breakwaters provide added interest/shelter and will normally demarcate your own exclusive section of the beach!
Put simply, it is paradise for children to amuse themselves safely, and thus great for parents too!
